Broward County Convention Center
The Broward County Convention Center project in Fort Lauderdale involved a multi-year West Expansion, transforming pre-function areas and expanding the main exhibit hall to 350,000 sq. ft. Future plans include an East Ballroom, an 800-room hotel, and the County Visitors Bureau, reaching 1.2 million sq. ft. of space.
The HVAC system features (5) 1,150-ton chillers, associated cooling towers,(24) roof-top units (for exhibition spaces), and (57) fan coil units. A 5,750-ton CEP ensures ample capacity, and 12″ valves are installed for future chilled water distribution to the East Expansion.
