FIU Parkway II

In Miami, Florida, the Florida International University campus project features a 14-story building with 11 floors of dorm apartments, conference rooms, lounges, staff apartments, and an observation area. The cooling system involves 900 feet of 19-inch chilled water piping, connecting to the existing campus system. Components include (2) CHW Outside Air Units, (2) CHW Air Handler Units, (2) Energy Recovery Units, (4) CHW Pumps, (198) CHW Fan Coil Units for dorms, and (48) units for common areas. Southeast Mechanical’s drafting department designed the piping system, which was implemented by skilled craftsmen.
